Today is really rainy – so I took a photo of the containers I planted peas and basil seeds in yesterday. I couldn’t wait until several more weeks to plant outside and there are plenty of seeds in a package to try growing some early for fun. The next photo will show sprouts.
Another way to think about gardening during these last weeks of winter is to read. My favorite gardening book of essays is Henry Mitchell’s The Essential Earthman. You can pick it up and read one chapter or part of a chapter and you get that gardening feeling. Plus, the author has a great sense of humor.
