Tiarella (foamflower) is one of those perennials that is just there when the snow melts – no need to wait for it to come out of the ground. The foliage is colorful all year long and it grows stalks of white flowers (like heuchera). I planted this one last summer as a plug since we had extras from work. I put it along my front walkway so I can see it all the time and it just loves where it is in the shade.
