I took a walk around my parent’s neighborhood last week with my camera as I do every year in August. While there are some beautiful planned gardens, there are also plots of land that haven’t been developed with wildflowers, rosa rugosa, milkweed plants, mullein and the usual Cape Cod invasive bittersweet.
I describe the weather on the Cape as more “even-tempered” (not having quite as hot or cold extremes) than my zone just an hour and a half away, which makes for a perfect climate for many plants. Everything seems to grow large and lush so easily.
